GizmoPC publishes guides, deals, news and product comparisons covering PC components, Wi-Fi and networking. Whatever the format, the same editorial principles apply.

Six Principles We Follow

  • Independent judgment. Our editors choose topics and reach conclusions without input from manufacturers, ISPs or retailers. No outside party approves content before it is published.
  • No paid placement. We do not sell spots in our rankings, and we do not run sponsored comparisons. Brands cannot pay to be included, to rank higher or to be described more favorably.
  • Sourced facts only. Every spec, speed, price or measurement must come from a source we can identify.
  • Human verification. AI may help, but people check and approve what goes live.
  • Disclosure. Commercial relationships that could affect an article are stated openly.
  • Timely updates. Content is revised when the facts change.

Sourcing in Practice

We start with primary sources: datasheets, manuals, QVL lists, BIOS and firmware release notes, and official standards information. Independent hardware review sites, storage benchmark databases and networking review outlets supply performance data. Forum discussions and verified-purchase reviews help with reliability and firmware issues but are not used as the only source for a spec.

If published figures disagree, such as two outlets reporting different Wi-Fi throughput for the same router, we share the range, explain likely causes like distance, client device or firmware version, and avoid presenting the best result as typical.

How AI Is Used

AI tools assist with research gathering, outlining and drafting. Editors rewrite, fact-check and sign off on every article. AI is never used to invent specs, benchmark figures or results.

Conflicts of Interest

GizmoPC earns affiliate commissions on some purchases, which never affect our rankings. We currently do not accept review units or free products in exchange for coverage. Any future samples or brand relationships relevant to an article will be disclosed in it.

Update Cadence

Buying guides are reviewed periodically and after major launches, firmware changes or price shifts. Deal posts are rechecked more often. Revision dates appear on updated articles.
